Our approach
Waldorf-inspired, in our own words

A steady rhythm
Each day and each week repeats, and the year turns with the seasons. We call ourselves Waldorf-inspired because that is the shape we borrow, and it describes how we work, nothing more.

Simple materials
Wood, wool, cotton and silk. A stump, a cloth and a basket of shells leave room for a child's own play. The dolls here have no painted faces.
What you will see
Four things that fill a morning
Stories by heart
A teacher tells a story aloud, and the same story returns for a week.
Handwork
Knitting, felting and sewing with wool, a little each week.
Outdoor time
The garden and the trail behind the school, in every season.
Songs in two languages
Circle includes songs and verses in Spanish. Marycruz speaks Spanish with families who prefer it, and the rest of the room works in English.
See it in the room
A morning in the room shows more than a description can.
